Each week of the camp, students will code a new game in Scratch. Various coding concepts will be covered in order to increase the students' knowledge in Scratch coding. Coders can work together and each student will be encouraged to discuss their own programming ideas with the group. This club is perfect for those who are interested in gaming and want to have a basic grasp of how video games are made. If you would like to complete all of the projects you can enroll for each week separately. Before registering for this club, please make sure that your device is compatible with Scratch. Students must also have a Scratch account. Week of 12/23: Art Project Week of 12/30: Dance Party Project Our educators will provide a template with step-by-step instructions and will share their screen as they walk students through the process of learning Scratch and coding. The class is lecture style but students have time at the beginning of class to visit, socialize and will be asked questions/asked questions throughout the class. Our educators are patient, kind, energetic and create a class environment that builds community. This community allows students to take risks and be comfortable trying something new.

How old do you have to be to get a Scratch account?
All registrants must be over 18 years of age. When registering for a personal account, you will be asked to provide certain personal information, such as your email address, first and last name, and Scratch username (optional).
What is the age range for Scratch? Scratch is designed especially for young people ages 8 to 16, but people of all ages create and share with Scratch.
