Class experience
This is an introductory Semester Length learning class for students interested in learning about Photography, how to use their Cameras, how to take great photographs and how to edit using modern, Digital Darkroom software Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom. This semester length class, combines my Foundations 1 and 2 courses. Students should have a camera they can use, it can be a smart phone camera, iphones, point & shoot, or a DSLR camera. Students will learn about their Cameras and how to use them to take photographs. Students will learn how to get their photographs from their camera to the computer. Students will learn how to edit their photographs using a combination of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
Alix has a B.A in Digital Media / Digital Video Production Communications. Alix has been creating photography for almost 2 decades and sells her photographic visual art in a variety of formats, and also has a photography art studio. Alix has been teaching Adobe Software for skill development in a College Digital Media Department since 2008 as well as running a small Photography Art Studio.
Homework Offered
Each Week, Students will have a suggested topic matter that they should take photographs of. Topics range from: Your backyard, plants, pets, portraits, flowers, cars and other easy to find subjects. Students have the option to take photographs in other subject matters not listed as well.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
