Class Experience

Students will be taught fun Halloween exercises that will work on expression, music, and developing basic motor skills. The class will begin with an introduction to one another, a warm-up, and progress through bigger movements, ending with a cool-down. My teaching instruction is very visual, but I also use verbal explanations. My goal is to foster a creative, fun, and positive environment for the students. Students are encouraged to participate in discussion when prompted, as well as ask any questions. No prior dance or creative movement experience is required.

Learning Goals

Students will activate their muscles, work on stretching, explore their creative minds, and work on their listening skills and following directions.

It is recommended to have a water bottle or glass of water available during the duration of the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Dance is a physical activity and can lead to injury. This class will not be extremely strenuous because of it's introductory nature, but students are still advised to practice caution. Dancers should wear comfortable clothing they can move in, and socks or ballet slippers on their feet depending on how slippery their floor is. It is also recommended that students have a water bottle or glass of water available to them throughout the class.
