Students will work together to create a Minecraft story in this ongoing class, whether it's led by Alex, Steve, or a dog named Sally. It's up to the students, their creativity, and teamwork!

Come and join with fellow students that love Minecraft just like you! However, there is a twist. Instead of playing Minecraft, you will be working together with your classmates to create a Minecraft story! This is called "Collaborative Writing." The story could go more than fifty different ways based on what YOU add to the story. Every week, there will be a new prompt to start with. For example, one might be, "Steve walked in and caught a creeper standing near his fireplace!" What will you add to it? Everyone will take turns adding 1-5 sentences to the story. I will be the one writing down what you tell me to. I will screen share a word document where I'll be writing the story as you and your classmates add sentences. After every class, I will share the new story by posting it in the classroom for all students to keep for themselves and add their own title to it. This is great for students who know and love everything about Minecraft!

Students will improve their confidence in storytelling; their creativity will strengthen and their ability to brainstorm and use their imagination.

Parental Guidance
Please be mindful that while I love creativity and the ways these stories could go, I do not encourage talk of blood or violence, such as a student saying someone's head is cut off. They could rather say the person was killed.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
