Class Experience

~Creativity - create a craft or artwork, or work on your own craft you are already working on
~Social Skills - socialize with fellow LGBTQ+ friends in a safe and encouraging environment
Sometimes, the topic of gender identity and gender dysphoria along with the struggles of being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community may come up during our discussions. Students are never pressured to participate in these discussions and my hope is that learners can have a safe and relatable space to be a part of.

I identify as non-binary and use they/she pronouns. I am active in and passionate about supporting my local LGBTQIA+ creative community, as well as encouraging LGBTQIA+ youth as an arts educator. I am also a performing musician and mixed media artist who has shown work in galleries in Los Angeles, Boulder, and Denver.
Art supplies will be listed in the classroom as well.

✨Day one: LGBTQ+ Origami Book Marks - three 5x5 inch sheets of paper, markers, color pencils
✨Day two: Clay Chunky Pride Flag Rings and Clay Friends - air dry clay (bring various colors to create pride flag rings)
✨Day three: Painting Pride Rocks - smooth river rocks, acrylic paints, brushes, cup of water, paper towel, sharpies
✨Day four: Pronouns Painting - any materials of your liking
✨Day five: Wooden Pride Decoration - 2x4 inch wooden sign, acrylic paints, cup of water, paper towel, sharpies, color pencils
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This group is a comfortable, safe, and supportive space for all of the LGBTQIA+ community.
