Class Experience

In this 4-week Flex class, advanced teen artists will design, sketch and execute weekly projects that take 1-2 hours each week. Learners should have taken previous drawing, painting or lettering classes. This class will introduce teens to the work of illustrators and designers, by asking them to create a piece for an imagined "client."

I am a part-time creative consultant for companies in the wellness/health sector. I take commissions for professional illustration and lettering, which are distributed in print, social media and internet venues.

Each weekly assignment will require the learner to spend 1-2 hours working on a project.

Projects may be completed on paper with pen, pencil, paint and markers, or they may be completed on a digital app that the learner already knows how to use, such as Procreate or Illustrator. 
**Recommended: large size paper or poster board (11x14 or larger). Projects may be done in a multimedia sketchbook or on plain printer paper, but I recommend larger size paper for better results!

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Websites and search engines to find images

No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
