Class Experience
Being creative in various facets or art assist with ones mental health. Covid has been detrimental to our mental state of mind world wide especailly with our children for the past 2 years and engaging in anxiety, depression and stress reducing activities is more than needed. IT IS VITAL! The slime craze was HOT! Mixing colors, adding sprinkles of glitter and tiny jewels seemed had taken over almost very household with youngesters. Seeing that slime is a softer form of polymer, how about take the same concept and actually make your creations, sculptures, jewelry and other art pieces durable.
No homework.
Polymers Clay of different colors, tools for shaping, cutting as well as put holes in the clay, noodle maker (flatten out clay), a toaster over (resale shop), non pourous cutting board, saran wrap plastic to warp up unused clay.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
