Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this one-time class I'll share an overview of gardening skills, plant facts and greenhouses along with a DIY mini-greenhouse project. Weather permitting, the class is hosted from my solar greenhouse in Northern New Mexico.

During each class learners can also expect to experience opportunities for interacting with all participants through sharing, Q & A and guided discussion. Guided discussion is an active learning technique that encourages students to reflect on their own experiences, explore alternative ways of thinking, connect to a topic, and improve analytical skills.

My teaching style is informed by Social Constructivism and Reggio-inspired practices. I utilize Developmentally Appropriate Practices for hands-on activities and invitations to explore concepts related to class topics; invitations will include age-appropriate text, images and/or video.
