In this course, students will learn to design game characters and environments with GameMaker. They will learn basic programming concepts, implement game mechanics, use sound and create their own game to share at the end! Class Structure: Classes will include hands-on creation, collaboration, and feedback sessions. Learning Goals: Students will learn the essentials of game development and complete their own game project by the end of the course. Class Continuity: Each session builds on the previous lessons, leading to a final game showcase. Supplies: A laptop with GameMaker Studio installed is required; installation instructions will be provided.
