Students will learn how to take interesting photographs of food. Class will begin with an introduction to food photography and brief image review. Students will learn 4 key components to taking great photographs of food - angle, crop, mood, and textures. Students will learn how to crop for impact, show steam and texture to take great photographs of different kinds of foods.
I joke that I began photographing weddings because of cookie tables and wedding cakes but that is where I began to learn how to photograph food. I found that many photography students in my studio enjoyed photographing popcorn, cupcakes, and coffee in classes.
