US Grade 2 - 5
Students will learn how to create and write a special message for a Father's Day card in a fun and interactive classroom environment. The class is structured to enable students to video chat and write with the teacher. The class will include an activity to create a Father's Day card that is visually appealing and utilizes writing techniques to formulate a well thought out message for dad. During the first 5 minutes of class, the teacher will build a rapport with students and briefly discuss the course material. The next 15 minutes of class will be dedicated to discussing the meaning of Father's Day, the purpose of a Father's Day card, and how to create a compelling Father's Day card. The next 20 minutes will allow students to create their own Father's Day card. The final 5 minutes of class will be dedicated to reviewing and wrapping up the lesson with any questions that students may have.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the essential concepts of how to effectively develop a creative Father's Day card. The class will educate students how to create a Father's Day card that is visually unique and appealing while writing a meaningful message utilizing creative writing techniques. In doing so, students will learn how to create a memorable and special Father's Day card that will make dad feel extra special.
