Description

Class Experience

Students will demonstrate knowledge of basic embroidery stitches.
I have taught middle and high school English for a decade. I have taught afterschool art for a year using numerous mediums: chalk, oil pastel, water colors, acrylic and oil paints. Embroidery has been a hobby within my family, and I love to do things in a creative way.
8 or 9" embroidery hoop (about $2 at a craft store) tea towel or flour sack that will fit on the hoop a set of colored embroidery floss (about $5.00 may contain 12 or more colors) embroidery needle size 5/10 scissors
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental Guidance needed for sharp objects such as needles and scissors.
