Class experience
Every class will start off with a few minutes of time to chat and share. This allows us to build community and sets the tone for our time together, helping to create a supportive and welcoming environment. Next I will introduce the project and share either a video, a fun fact, or read a story that connects to our art work. We will go over supplies needed before starting. I will teach using a step-by-step demonstration, however, the students will be encouraged to add their own personal...

Here are the basic supplies we will be using most of the time, it varies week to week depending on the project. If there is a special supply needed for the upcoming project, you will be notified in advance so that you have plenty of time to get what you need. I also always give suggestions if a supply needed isn't available. This should be a very free flowing creative experience! -Pencil & eraser -Watercolor paper (I use 9 x 12 and 11 x 15, Canson XL brand is great and cheaper!) -12 x 18 Sulphite Heavyweight Construction Paper (white and black mostly, but it does come in an assorted colors pack that is great too) -Acrylic Paint (assorted colors) -Tempera Paint -Paint brushes in a variety of sizes (round and flat) -Watercolors (Pan sets or Liquid will be great) -Oil Pastels (these will be used often, they are bold and creamy) -Crayons -Chalk pastels -Black Fine Tip Sharpie (waterproof marker) - Washable Markers (Like Crayola) -Colored pencils -White Glue / Glue Sticks -Scissors -Baby wipes (for hands if we need a quick clean up (especially when we use our fingers as a tool for blending pastels) Sometimes the class will require a handout which I will send to you a week in advance. It will not need to be printed, just referred to if wanted.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
