Cursive practice shouldn't just be about handwriting sheets! In this 4 week FLEXIBLE class, students will learn Cursive Letters A-Z on your schedule: through Art, Mindfulness, Muscle Memory, and interaction with an Experienced Instructor.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
We will learn how to write Cursive letters A-Z in this unique 4 week Beginner Cursive Handwriting Class. This class will be interactive with students and teacher. Students will be required to upload and share work of a Handwriting sheet or a Team Challenge, in our classroom. I will post weekly both with a pre-recorded video and a share and discuss message. I will be available to discuss, answer questions and support every learner. Students are also encouraged to work together through the Outschool classroom platform as a class. Our "weekly workout" will be a handwriting share within our learning group that will be directed by the teacher. Here is an example of Course Content and Videos for each learner: 1st Class- Letters A-F Students will be given Handwriting Art sheets and instructed with a pencil grip video and a shaving cream video to make writing more fun and easy. Weekly workout- Pick a Letter to share. 2nd Class- Letters G-L We will learn curves and lines through the doodle art video. A detailed instructive video for Letters G-L included. Class work will be shared through a Team Pair and Share.Weekly workout- Pick a Letter to share. 3rd Class- Letters M-R Learners will be shown where to start and stop when writing letters in cursive. A fun class cursive game is encouraged and will be shown in the Teacher Video. Weekly workout- Pick a Letter to share. 4th Class- Letters S-Z Team Challenge- Cursive Scavenger Hunt. We will upload pictures of cursive we found around our neighborhoods. Weekly workout- Pick a Letter to share. No prior cursive experience is required. Learning Goals
Students will be able to write and trace letters A-Z in cursive, and begin to combine letters by writing a quote. Students will incorporate kinesthetic and visual skills to improve handwriting.
Syllabus
4 Lessons
over 4 WeeksLesson 1:
Letters A-F
We will learn how to write cursive letters A-F. We will also practice our pencil grip. Art and creativity abounds when a fun shaving cream activity is part of the lesson. 8 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
Letters G-L
We will learn curves and lines through the doodle art video. A detailed instructive video for Letters G-L included. 7 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Letters M-R
Learners will be shown where to start and stop when writing letters in cursive. A fun class cursive game is
encouraged and will be shown in the Teacher Video. Lesson 4:
Letters S-Z
Let's finish up our course with completing the cursive alphabet. I had so much fun creating a Cursive Scavenger Hunt. We will upload pictures of cursive we found around our neighborhoods. Other Details

Bachelor's Degree in Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho
I received an Elementary Education degree in 2003, in Idaho. I went on to teach third grade students for five years. Handwriting was often a concern for parents, so I used my background in Arts to make handwriting classes more engaging and interesting for students. I have 2 years of online teaching experience. I teach my own children the art of handwriting. I truly hope for learners to spark new interest in writing and to use mindfulness as a tool.Reviews
