Beginner Level
You will learn: Introduction to HTML and CSS for creating basic, responsive, and visually appealing web pages. Practical application of web development principles, including hands-on exercises. We will cover: HTML Basics: Elements, tags, and attributes Document structure (DOCTYPE, head, body) Common tags: headings, paragraphs, links, images, and lists CSS Basics: Selectors and properties Styling text and layouts Color, background, and borders My class is structured between two days: Lecture day, where they will learn the topics and code, and Lab day where they will apply what they learned. My teaching styles are Beginner friendly, Interactive and Supportive. Beginner-friendly: Emphasize clarity and simplicity, ensuring every concept is broken down step by step. Interactive: Engage learners through live demonstrations encouraging them to follow along. Supportive: Create a positive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions.

Getting Started With HTML
Introduction to HTML: What is it and why it is important.
Setting up a coding environment and downloading the CSS HTML validator we will be using for this class.
Discuss what tools we can use when we are studying and doing homework such as W3 schools, and which videos would be best to use as a resource for this class.
Showcasing how to keep and maintain files organized and neat for accessibility purposes.

Lesson 2:
Getting Started With Html (Part 2)
Basic structure of an HTML document (<!DOCTYPE html>, <html>, <head>, <body>) as well as well as learning some basic CSS code (background-color, border-style, etc.) so we can make our pages more enjoyable and customizable.
Homework: Create your first HTML document with a title, basic CSS style, and a basic body section.

Adding Content To Your Webpage
Using text tags:<h1> to <h6>, <p>, <strong>, <em>.
Organizing content with lists: <ul>, <ol>, <li>.

Supply List
Computer or PC that has enough space to store their websites and to download the CSS HTML validator we will be downloading on our first class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
