Beginner Level
Students will use air dry clay to create Christmas ornaments. Once we review basic clay techniques and I demonstrate them, they will also get to try each one to show that they understand them. Then, students will watch a demonstration on how to make the ornaments. They will share ideas and then get started creating their masterpieces! I have included a reference guide with basic clay terms and outlines of some different shapes to get started. At the end of class, we will share our ornaments with each other. Once the class is finished and the clay is dry, students can paint these on their own and hang them on their tree or give them as gifts!
