Welcome to Creative Cityscapes!

🏙 A Two-Point Perspective Artistic Adventure:
Welcome to a 50-minute small group class where young artists will learn the basics of two-point perspective while creating an amazing cityscape they can be proud of.

✍️ Master the Technique:
Learn the foundational rules of two-point perspective.
Create a drawing using vanishing points and a horizon line.
Have fun designing unique buildings.

🎨 Bring Your City to Life:
Dream up bustling streets, towering skyscrapers. Who lives there? What buildings line your streets?  Is there a cross walk?  Where do people like to go for fun?  What restaurants are in your city?

🛠️ Supplies Needed:
All you'll need is paper, a ruler, and a pencil. 

👩‍👧‍👦 Welcoming All Skill Levels:
Whether they're sketching veterans or just starting out, every young artist will find a supportive space to explore and create.

Learning Goals
Learners will gain a basic understanding of a two-point perspective drawing.  We will review the art terms: vanishing point, vertical line, horizontal line, and overlapping. Students will gain confidence as an artist as they create an original cityscape.

I have been an art educator for over 25 years.  I earned my bachelor's degree in Art Education (K-12) from the University of Central Oklahoma.  I have taught in public schools, private schools, as well as homeschool co-op groups and private lessons.  I have been teaching art on Outschool since August 2021.
