Creative arts class will teach children about colour, transparency and reflection using light against the colour. Class is structured to be interactive and I enjoy working together with the learners in my class. Class is structured to be hands on and interactive, I will demonstrate the project at the same time as guiding the learners to complete their art piece. I will have open dialogue with the class asking them questions to spark their curiosity and explore different aspects of colour and how the light impacts the colour, to ensure they engage in learning in a fun and inquisitive manner. No previous experience is necessary to take this class.
Learning Goals
This class will promote learner's creativity and spark them to use their imagination. It will promote thinking outside the box to create their piece in a manner they feel represents them. They will practice communication skills in expressing their idea on how the tissue paper will come together to be "stained glass" as well as talk about their final piece once they have created it. In addition it will build cognitive skills in how they will learn how light impacts the art piece and how it allows the light to flow through the tissue paper.

Construction paper or card stock paper White tissue paper Tissue paper in various colours (at least 2 -3 various colours, the more colours, the more colourful effect it will have). glue stick scissors (age appropriate) yarn

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
