Class Experience

In this fun and creative camp, your learner will explore a different animal or insect each day and then draw and paint them! We will explore characteristics of each animal and learn some interesting facts about each one! This will be a shared slide-show from my screen. Then we will draw and paint each one and this will be a live-demonstration from my screen.

Your learner will use the same supplies during each class. They will need one piece of 8x10 paper or cardstock, oil pastels or crayons, a pencil and watercolor paints. We will draw each animal together and then use watercolor paints to paint!

Day 1: Butterfly
We will discuss the life cycle of a butterfly and fun facts about butterflies. Then we will draw and paint a butterfly using oil pastels and watercolor paints!

Day 2: Flamingo
We will discuss the habitat, diet and fun facts about the flamingo. Then we will draw and paint a flamingo using oil pastels and watercolor paints!

Day 3: Bee
We will discuss characteristics, habits and fun facts about bees. Then we will draw and paint a bee using oil pastels and watercolor paints!

Day 4: Llama
We will discuss habitat, diet and fun facts about llamas. Then we will draw and paint a llama using oil pastels and watercolor paints!

Day 5: Ladybug
We will discuss characteristics and fun facts about ladybugs. Then we will draw and paint a ladybug using oil pastels and watercolor paints!

Combining art and science is such a great way for your learner to make connections with this exciting topic!

I look forward to meeting your learner in class!

I believe that Art is a wonderful way to express your feelings and thoughts. Being creative is a great outlet for learners of all ages. I love helping others find their creative voice and learn new things.
