Class Experience

In this one-time class, Canva beginners will learn and cultivate basic functions for their graphic design skills. This class will use the free program: canva.com.

This class is perfect for new graphic designers who have never used Canva before. We will look at the basic features of Canva to create a Youtube Thumbnail and/or Youtube Channel Art.

During our class, we will begin by discussing Youtube Channel Art (definition, purposes, and examples). Next, we will discuss the goal for our class...

-The learner will be able to navigate the basic uses of Canva. 
-The learner will be able to create a Youtube Thumbnail in Canva. 
-The learner will be able to use basic features in Canva.

If the student does not finish their creation during class time, they will have the OPTION of completing the design for homework.

A device to run Zoom and Canva.
Optional: two devices, one to run Zoom and one to run Canva. 
It is required to use Canva in a web browser like Chrome or Safari rather the app for mobile devices. 
Create an account at canva.com (free version).

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Canva

45 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.

This class requires the use of the FREE online program, Canva. In order to create an account, you must be age 13 and up. Please visit canva.com to create an account with your child prior to our first class. You do not need to pay for Canva Pro. We will use the free version.
