CLASS EXPERIENCE: Let's have some fun making summer fun crafts! We will make 2 crafts each day! Day 1 craft is making bubble wand, bubbles and puffy sidewalk chalk. Day 2 craft is making a homemade wind chime and bird feeder! Please view the supply list for things your learner will need. Parents should be near just in case your learner needs your assistance while creating. The classroom will be a hands on environment and I will be modeling each step as we have fun together! 1 file available upon enrollmentSUPPLIES FOR DAY 1: glycerin dawn dish soap water floral wire is preferred (you can use long pipe cleaners) beads to decorate the wand handle medium sized bowl spoon to stir measuring cups wire cutters (if using floral wire) 16 oz squeezable bottles (I get mine at the dollar store, they are for ketchup or mustard) large mixing bowl rubber spatula flour water dish soap – just about any dish soap will work. food coloring or washable paint SUPPLIES FOR DAY 2: 6-12" long about 1/2-1" thick stick or pieces of drift wood from outside or you can purchase a dowel and cut it down before class acrylic paint to paint and decorate the stick paint brush, water, paper towel small eye hooks 10-15 of them twine to hand the chime white thin string like white sewing thread beads to decorate each thread hanging off of each eye hook (make sure you have an assortment of them) pay attention to the size of the hole of the beads and the size of thread/string. hole punch empty toilet paper roll peanut butter bird seeds butter knife and plate
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents will need to make sure they are available if learners need assistance with their creations. Students may need help placing the eye hooks into the wood.
