In this 2 day course, students will learn about the history of the Egyptian pyramids, the symbols that Egyptians used, and then create their own pyramid.

Description

Class Experience

Students will look at and discuss pictures of pyramids and their hieroglyphics. Based on this information, students will then draw and recreate their own pyramids. At the end of the class, students will present their pyramids and discuss their meanings. 
Day 1:
5 minutes- Introduction: Who are you? Where are you from? Who is your favorite artist? 
15 minute- discussion of Egyptian pyramids and symbols
25 minutes- designing pyramids
5 minutes- checking out: what did you like about today's...

Students will learn about the history of the Egyptian Pyramids.

I have taught art full time in a school setting for 5 years and absolutely love it! I have done a project similar to this one with my students, and they loved it! I hope to share a similar experience with your kids as well!

  1 file available upon enrollment
print out (attached in welcome letter), pencil, washable markers, scissors, glue (hot glue works best but can use elmer's white glue) or tape.
