Description

Class Experience

Students will learn to draw and paint different creature paintings during each class. Students will have input into what the creature of the day will look like in the end.
Day 1:  Creature
Day  2: Creature
Day  3: Creature
Day 4: Creature
Day 5: Creature
I have taught in brick-and-mortar schools for 30 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as art and STEAM classes for grades K-5. I am a certified Special Education Teacher, Regular Education Teacher, and Media Specialist (School Librarian).
No homework will be assigned, however, campers may wish to add more details to their creations after class has ended.
Canvas, paper, or cardstock
Pencil
Eraser
Paints- colors of the student's choice preferably
Cup of water
Paper towel

Some type of covering for the work surface to prevent paint from getting on the surface. I use wax paper to protect my workspace.
Smile
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learners' progress will be assessed informally throughout each class. The class will end with a virtual art gallery in which the learners will be encouraged to show off their creations.
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Campers/students will guide some of the discussions. 
There will be no outside sources utilized for this class.
