Beginner Level
This class will focus on creating art with a main subject or subjects and its surroundings, including background. The first class will include an introduction of the instructor and his examples of artwork that pertain to the class. We will then go over rules of creating a composition in art and practice drawing a subject and its environment using pencil line drawings. The second class will continue with creating a composition, this time focusing more on the background and adding colors with a more vague or even abstract background The third class will explore a representational background for a subject, building on the knowledge of previous sessions. I show examples and demonstrate, and students work along with me at times, and work on their own under my guidance other times.

Learners will need: Paper (multiple sheets Pencil Eraser Something to color with (color pencils, markers, watercolor paint, etc) Black pen (not ballpoint. ) Black marker
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
