Description
Class Experience
In this one time interactive class, students will learn to make addition fact families up to a sum of ten. The teacher will model how to use math manipulatives to create different combinations that total 10. Through guided instruction, students will use their math manipulatives to demonstrate their understanding and ability to create sums of ten using the numbers 0-10. We will also learn to write the addition math sentences. Example, 0+10, 1+9, 2+8, etc. I will also teach the associative...
Please bring a pencil, plain paper, and the attached activity sheets. We will complete them together in class. I would also like for you child to have some math manipulatives. They will need 10 of the same item for practice counting. Examples, buttons, beans, bottle caps, crayons, cotton balls, etc.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
