In this one time class, students will use items on hand, a camera or phone, and Microsoft's Video Editor tool for PCs to create their own story video for sharing.

PARENTS: PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE THE PROGRAM WINDOWS 10 MICROSOFT VIDEO EDITOR FOR PCs BEFORE ENROLLING. PLEASE NOTE THAT WHILE THE CLASS CAN BE COMPLETED WITH OTHER SOFTWARE, I AM UNABLE TO ASSIST IN TROUBLESHOOTING WITH THOSE PROGRAMS. This class will spend 20 minutes teaching the foundations of using Windows 10 Microsoft Video Editor for PCs and its many tools for creating your very own stop motion video. We will explore some of the settings found in the Video Editor and how they can be utilized. Once we have the basics down, we will spend 10 minutes working on your very own video using toys, cameras / cell phones and the Video Editor program. This includes identifying your characters and writing a simple short script for their acting. We will then upload our photos to the video editor and begin creating our stop motion videos together. Some work may remain at the end of the class to finalize the video and I have included a link to a walk-through to assist if that is the case.

I utilize this tool all the time to create in depth training videos for corporations. The ability to load a single frame image allows you to expand a script over the image for as long as you may need. But what could be more fun then building training videos? Making your very own stop motion film! Our family uses this tool to create stories and share them with others about the on-going fight against evil in mock battles of Jedi knights versus Sith warriors....with the occasional lost Disney character tossed in.
