Class Experience

In this one time class students will draw their own scary monster! Students should bring colored pencils and paper to class. Students will discuss what features a scary monster has and they will use what we discuss in class to make their own monsters. To finish the class, students will share their monsters with the rest of the class. They may be shown a monster music video clip or may listen to the teacher tell a monster story if there is extra time.

**This is not a drawing tutorial class, but rather a casual discussion based class that requires the students to use their own creativity to make their monster.

PART ONE: The teacher will ask the students a series of questions about what their monster likes/eats/etc.
PART TWO: The students will discuss what they think a monster looks like while drawing their own versions of a monster.
PART THREE: Students will present their monster to the class. Explaining a little bit about their monster and showing their picture. (not required but encouraged)
*If there is extra time, there will be free talk, a short monster story or the students will watch a short monster music video.
