Students will learn how to plan and write their own comic book through the writing process - plan, draft, draw, create/write, edit and publish. Students will learn the layout of a comic book and how to use onomatopoeia in their story. We will meet 4x per week via Zoom for a total of 4 classes. 1st meeting - Students will learn how to plan their comic book. We will discuss the following elements: characters and setting. Students will begin drafting: book cover with character and title. ...
Students will be asked to finish their work from class before the next meeting.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Book Creator is not free, but teacher will provide a class code for access. You will not to provide any personal information. Students will have the option to download, print, and/or publish online when book is finished. Publishing online is optional. I recommend students publish as a private book if they want to share book with friends and family using a link.
