There are not many things that can engage the imagination quite like outer space does. Movies and shows like "Stars Wars" and "Lost in Space" are huge hits because of this natural fascination with our Universe. Astronomy makes a perfect springboard for learning about science and gaining writing skills. Students will write a short fictional story. During our first two classes, we will discuss basics of how to write fiction. During third class, they will present it. Over the course of the 3-week session, students should develop and write their space adventure story.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
