In this one time class, students will create a poetry journal and add their own acrostic poems to it.

I am a licensed elementary educator with multi-grade level experience in language arts. Poetry is an essential component within the language arts curriculum. It not only stands alone, but also aids in writing skills. Poetry is an excellent way to use your senses to enhance your writing and express yourself. I will utilize paper materials (PDF will be delivered to you ahead of time), the book, "Explore Poetry!" written by Andi Diehn, and an Annie & Moby Brain Pop video. I would be happy to answer any of your questions and/or concerns; please feel free to message me. I look forward to helping you and your child succeed! Parental Guidance
With regard to the video clip I will be utilizing- it is from Brain Pop's Annie and Moby. Brain Pop is an animated educational site designed specifically for kids and is often used in classroom institutions. I will be using the video clips via screen-sharing and an account will not be required.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
