Many teens want to know how to become an entrepreneur. This is the first step. Entrepreneurship is a vital skill for the future, equipping young people with the ability to innovate, solve problems, and drive positive change. ESA note: This class is structured to accept ESA funds for participating states and families. 🌟 In today's fast-paced and ever-evolving world, the ability to think creatively and adapt to new challenges is more important than ever. 🚀 By learning entrepreneurship, teens develop critical thinking, resilience, and financial literacy, which are essential for personal and professional success. 📚💡 Moreover, entrepreneurship fosters a growth mindset, encouraging young individuals to embrace challenges and learn from failures. 💪 These skills not only prepare them for a wide range of career paths but also empower them to create opportunities and contribute meaningfully to society and the economy. 🌍 Class is taught though a series of high energy and engaging video lessons, with a focus on applying skills throughout. Note on content: This class teaches economics concepts rooted in what are considered "Classical Economic Theory" which emerged from the enlightenment in Western Europe in the 1700s. Language proficiency notice: students will be discussing complex financial terms and ideas. A very strong English language proficiency is required to grasp the full understanding of the material. The pacing of the course is very intense. These ideas are broadly applicable in various regions of the globe, where individuals have access to retail and commercial banking services and market or mixed economies. While an attempt will be made to explain ideas so all students can understand, hyper local examples and command based systems fall outside these financial skills. The course has an implicit bias that wealth accumulation is societally acceptable, at least to a varying degree. Specifically, this class recognizes the ability to lend money at interest as a core concept within the financial world. It represents the importance of individuals being able to accumulate private property to pursue financial independence. Its foundational ideas are rooted in John Locke's principles of the right to hold and accumulate private property.
