Students will learn some graphic design basics along with Canva skills in typography, color theory, design, and compilation through hands-on learning projects.
As a writer, business owner and teacher I use Canva everyday for just about everything. The class image and the video you see in all of my courses are created in Canva. I also have 3 years of teaching experience in graphic design as well as certifications in Adobe Photoshop and Business education. I've also been a language arts and creative writing teacher for the last 27 years.

Google guardian account for learner I will share a Canva for Education link students can join using their guardian account.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parents, students will need a private guardian account Google login. I will give students a link to Canva for Education which will allow them to use more of the tools, etc. that are often not available in a free account.
Short YouTube videos for kids about graphic design. I will make sure they are carefully vetted for age appropriateness.
