Edible Education Series 1.0 Pandas are the first class in the edible education series. Giant pandas are beautiful animals that are well loved around the world. The class will start with a slide presentation discussing their habitat and unique facts that will be hard to forget. The class will end with creating our cute pandas out of Oreo cookies! After we learn all about the giant pandas including their diet, family behavior, teeth, and fur markings, we will then move on to the edible portion of our class by making pandas out of Oreos. Creating our Oreo Pandas will be Kitchen friendly! No additional cutlery required! I suggest they have around 4 Oreos to use to create the family. They will be using their hands and mouth to create the pandas. We will end the class by sharing our creation and playing a quick and fun game to help reiterate our cool panda facts. As a side note about food allergies, please let me know if I can help accommodate and find alternatives for you. At my house, we use the Glutino version of Oreos which are peanut, tree nut, dairy, and gluten free. Both cookie brands are great options for delicious taste and adorable panda creations.
Learning Goals
Students will learn more about pandas! Ranging from their diet, habitat, to the most memorable quirky facts that sound I too funny to be true.

Teacher expertise and credentials
My favorite subject has always been science (from sports science to classroom science), I love it all! I love teaching and helping kids understand these concepts. As a physician, I have taken many science classes and I love that I can take these concepts and make out fun for kids.
