Mastery Evaluation
2-4 hours per week. Musicians will learn more quickly if the lessons taught are practiced in between sessions.Assessment
Students are encouraged to share their work with Rozine during class via the screen share option in Zoom. Any music created outside of class can be shared in the classroom via video communication. Praise and recognition is awarded, regardless of skill level. Rozine stresses the importance of liking one's own work—and if learner hears something they don't like, she motivates them to find the solution to fix the problem. Suggested fixes are offered if the student struggles in finding a viable solution.Class Experience

Other Details
Parental Guidance
Learners will need the GarageBand app on either an iPad, iPhone or laptop.
Pre-Requisites
Students should have passion and interest for music and basic computer skills.
Supply List
Mac computer with GarageBand is going to be the best. If musicians will be recording instruments instead of making music with digital loops, they will need an interface. Guitar Center or similar carries a Scarlett package which includes the interface, studio-grade headphones, and a very nice microphone (and the necessary cords). Music can still be recorded without the interface, but quality will suffer.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Rozine grew up in a musicians home. She is self-taught on piano and bass guitar, and trained to play the saxophone (but not all at the same time). Her mom was 2nd violin in the local chamber orchestra and Rozine spent countless hours listening to rehearsals and enjoying concerts. Her older brother, and mentor, is a sound engineer in Chicago who has worked with Richard Marx, Josh Grobin, and with the composer of the music for Final Fantasy video games. Rozine has been using GarageBand to create background music for her YouTube videos and online art classes since the early 2000s. Rozine has published and released 24 songs over 6 albums (so far). She creates a relaxing atmosphere, encouraging confident self-expression.
