The objective of this class is to empower students with the skills needed to utilize free technology to create their own original songs & music compositions. We will cover the following: -basics of song form (intro, verse, chorus, bridge) -basics of instrumentation & genres -vocabulary needed to understand software -software navigation -prompting AI software with original ideas -editing, remixing, and re-prompting AI to find your sound -publishing & sharing This class is structured as a step-by-step interactive tutorial. After a brief 'songwriting crash course' students will follow along as I demonstrate how to prompt AI to create an original song. Students will have opportunities to ask questions and share their creation at the end of class if desired.

Learning Needs
Highly adaptable for special ed, neurodiverse, or disabled learners. I have 6+ years working in inclusion classrooms and find music is a beautiful bridge to connect all learners. Message ahead of time if your learner has specific needs! :)

Access to web browser on computer or ipad is recommended.
Supply List
Access to a computer with internet is recommended.
