Overall, participating in this class, students will have improved their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, enhanced focus, visual and spatial relationship skills and feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. Creating original art will build confidence, nurture innate creativity and spark right-brain activity, thus enhancing academic performance. I am offering this class because I love color in all of it's forms and introducing my younger students to the art of watercolors brings me much joy. I love creating something beautiful that didn’t exist ever before! I have been making art since I was three-years old and grew up in a home environment where creativity was a way of life. I’ve always been creative and interested in colors, textures, textiles, fashion design and traveling the globe appreciating diverse cultures. I am inspired by nature, the cosmos and color most of all! To me, making art, expressing myself creatively and teaching others to do that, are as natural as breathing. Kids of all ages love my inspired, relaxed and energetic style of teaching art. I have been teaching art in formal settings for over 15 years. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet and create art together.
Gather up all of the art materials as listed in the Materials section. Allow time to receive art materials for any online purchases. Especially, gather up your Watercolor paper that also has an envelope option to share with friends and loved ones.
