The class will start with a brief explanation of who Frida Kahlo was followed by creating our own drawing of a parrot with a simple jungle/sky background.  I will show the children how to draw the bird step-by-step as well as color it in, kids may need to finish coloring it in on their own if we are out of time.  I'll sprinkle in Spanish vocabulary as it relates to our work, such as the words for bird, flowers, petals, colors, and numbers.  At the end of the session we will display our work to each other, a child can opt out of doing that if they aren't comfortable with that.
