An Introduction to edit videos in this One-Time Class! This is a live course where I will be demonstrating how to create and edit videos on an iPad or Phone. Privacy settings are discussed during class time.
Class experience
In this One Time class, students will learn how to create and edit videos using their iPad or Phone. We will discuss the basics on how you can make simple edits to a video, add text and icons, how to add sound/music/voice recordings, how to crop out unwanted parts in a video, and as well as the fades, and crossovers in order to make the video look professional like the ones on Youtube. Students will gain an understanding of using video editing software, learn some more teach and coding skills, and an understanding of the privacy settings on Youtube to keep themselves safe.
Students are taught by a Youtube creator (myself)
Students will need to have a phone or iPad ready to download the app.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will have an in-depth understanding of the available privacy settings on YouTube. YouTube forbids children under the age of 13 to create their own accounts, and children between ages 13 and 17 are only allowed to open accounts with parental permission. However, parents are allowed to open an account for their younger children. YouTube now requires creators to label their channels and videos as “made for kids” if the primary audience for their content is children. Content that has a “mixed audience,” but is still directed at children would also fall under this label.
