This class is a discovery class where the only academic requirement is a passion for learning and creating. On the technical part, the application that we use to teach App Creation requires signing up using an email account; please decide on the best option for your family. In this online live course, each student will: - Participate in a class with other children his/her age group (10-14) using a Design Process to create their first mobile app. - Learn to design, build, code, test, and debug one simple mobile app. - Collaborate with small groups (6 students maximum per class) with one adult certified live instructor. Syllabus/Topics covered: Introduction to the Platform - What is an app? - What are Operating Systems? - Create, Build, Code and Test a simple one screen mobile App The 50 minutes class are incredibly interactive: 10-minute lecture using videos and slides. 30-minute self-paced creation. 10-minute discussion and sharing of achievements.

Students learn to pay attention to detail, to think critically, and to be patient by designing, creating, and programming one prototype of a mobile app.Other Details
