Class Experience

We will use the program 'scratch' to create an animated Pokémon scene with music. No experience of scratch necessary.

Students will be taught:
How to create a scratch project
How to add sprites
How to animate sprites
How to add music

It will be a very interactive session- I will work with you to build your scene and we will share our screens with others too.

You should have scratch installed ready to use for class. I suggest that you install it and open it prior to class to ensure there are no problems. You should have a laptop or desktop pc to work on and screen sharing will be necessary to ensure students are all accessing the instructions well and progressing together.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I’m Miss Louise, a British teacher with over 12 years of classroom experience, specializing in product design and woodwork for students aged 11–18. These days, I bring my love for creativity, connection, and hands-on learning to the online classroom, where I teach social classes, Roblox gaming classes, and arts & crafts sessions for children and teens.

My teaching style is inclusive, engaging, and always student-centered. I pride myself on building great rapport with learners of all ages, creating a space where everyone feels welcome, valued, and excited to join in. Whether we’re designing, building, gaming, or just getting social, my goal is to make sure each student feels heard, supported, and confident.

Parents and students consistently describe me as kind, patient, flexible, and fun. I give clear instructions, make sure everyone is on the same page, and encourage creativity and self-expression in every class.

A little about me—I’m a huge fan of hands-on projects, a lover of games and storytelling, and I always enjoy a good DIY challenge. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually crafting, exploring something new, or hanging out with my two kids!

I can’t wait to meet your learner!
