In this weekly class, students will learn the elements of writing a great mystery story of their own.
Class experience
US Grade 2 - 5
In this relaxed weekly mystery writing class, kids will learn how each element of a mystery story fits together. After each element, children can share their work with me for review. I may add comments or corrections. Parents may send a snapshot of their child's work after each class. NOTE:There will be no class Friday Nov 24th due to the holiday Week 1- I will introduce the basics of mystery writing and help students write and develop 2-3 settings for their story. Kids will learn writing skills and build confidence along the way.
I love reading mysteries and writing with my students. I have over 10 years of training both in the classroom and as a homeschool educator.
Homework Offered
If students did not get a chance during class to finish their writing assignment they may finish outside of class.Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
A pair of headphones and a quiet place to write. A notebook is best for this class to keep everything in order.
All instruction and discussion will be age appropriate.
