-In this class we will share tips, tricks and mods with fellow Minecrafters. -We will utilize Storyjumper.com to create a guide that can be accessed online with a link provided after class. You also have the option of purchasing a printed book of the guide we create from storyjumper.com -While we will not be playing the game in class, we will help each other improve our Minecraft experience by sharing what we like and what we have discovered in our recent Minecraft adventures. -This class will provide students with the chance to increase their comfort level speaking in front of their peers and will also give all of us a chance to practice the social skill of listening while another person is speaking. -The teacher will facilitate the conversation and will share some things that she has learned about Minecraft.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their listening and speaking skills among their peers. They will collaborate to create a guide that will help each other learn more about the game.

Parental Guidance
Students will be allowed to share gamertags so they can add each other. Please let me know if this is not acceptable for your child.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Sara and I am looking forward to working with your child! I teach Art, History, Science and Math to children who are 6-12 years old. My goal is to create a fun learning environment that focuses on activities, games, and projects that are centered on my student's interests. My teaching style is encouraging and supportive. I am from the United States and I have a master's degree in Special Education from Arizona State University. I am also a certified Lower Elementary Montessori teacher and possess a Bachelor's degree in Art from Greenville University. From 2011-2013 I lived in South Korea and taught English to elementary and middle school students. Additionally, I have worked in Montessori schools for 3 years. I have over 3 years of experience supporting neurodivergent learners. Overall, I have a total of 8 years of experience working with children. I love walking with my dog, reading, and drawing illustrations of flowers, animals and architecture. Currently, I live in the United States. Some fun facts about me are that I know how to create a Nether Portal in Minecraft, my dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and my favorite food is sushi!
