By now most people know that Google slides is a great tool for presentations, but did you know there's so much more you can do with your slides? Google slides is incredibly useful because it's easy to use, cloud-based, auto-saving, and easily shared with others. This hour-long class will explore the useful tips and tricks that make your slides interesting and helpful. In class we will cover: -adding new slides to your presentation with different purposes -choosing/creating a theme for your presentation -adding media to your presentation -creating links to other documents or other sources Students should already know computer basics such as how to open and use an internet browser, how to type in text, etc. Each skill will be demonstrated with the screen share feature. Students will have opportunities to try each skill on their own presentation.

Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Meagan Khatthaname and I am an elementary teacher who is now teaching fourth grade. I am a former computer teacher who loves teaching Scratch coding and computer skills!
Beginner Scratch courses
I will be offering various Scratch courses for students to learn the basics of Scratch and how to make games and projects. Send me a question to ask about private classes, too!
Homeschool Computer classes
I offer private computer classes for students who are homeschooled or want to supplement their regular classes with computer/tech classes. I also have some group Google slides classes.
I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education from UMKC in 2013
I taught in a brick and mortar public school for 6 years as a 4th-grade classroom teacher then a computer and STEM teacher.
I am TESOL certified (since 2015)
I taught ESL online for 3 years, but I'm now back into the classroom teaching 4th grade again!
When it comes to kids' learning, the sky is truly the limit. Too often I think kids are underestimated in just what they can accomplish. Giving children the opportunity to explore their talents and interests is such an important thing! As an educator, I have felt that exploring a child's strengths is the best way to help them succeed in life. Fostering a child's interests into lifelong skills not only helps them succeed but allows them to feel empowered and confident!
