The first 20 minutes of class will be a lesson about cities: places, community helpers, and a conversation about special features our hometowns have. This time will be great to grasp how much Spanish the students know and to teach the key vocabulary words of the lesson. Students will socialize and get to know each other by describing the places they live and what they love the most about their hometown. They would get a chance to practice the Spanish they already know by using it in their...
This class will be perfect for Spanish beginners to intermediate level students. Students will stimulate their imaginations turning trash into treasures. They will develop visual storytelling skills with the model while learning about other cities and city vocabulary in Spanish.
Kids will need recycled materials like boxes, small brown bags, gift bags. Basic materials: scissors, tape, and glue. They can collect sticks, shells, leaves, flowers, pebbles, or small rocks to add to their model. They can use miniature buildings of toys they already have and we can build upon that too. They will also need paints and paintbrushes. If you have any paper prints or texture paper we can use that too.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Kids should know how to handle scissors or have an adult with them to help them on the model building part of the class.
