Students learn best by doing, so this lesson will be very interactive! We'll start by discussing the story of a successful 14-year-old entrepreneur, now a millionaire, and learn how she created her own business with no money and no technical skills. Then, we'll follow the same path to create a business idea for each student that's perfectly suited to their own talents, interests, and resources. Along the way, we'll work in teams to learn and use a few fancy, important business terms like...
Students will define "capital" and identify their own human and social capital. Then, they'll learn four basic revenue models (professional services, unit sales, subscription, & advertising) and how to design a business using those models.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
