In this class students will be drawing a scene using multiple layers in Procreate on the iPad. We will then export the image in layers to be used in an app called Slide AR. In Slide AR we will build the AR image and test it out. Students will be shown how to record a video of the scene when done. Watch the video in the class description to get an idea of what the final effect will be. A printer, or a phone are highly recommend, but not needed. The effect works better with a printed image or the image displayed on a phone. Please note before signing up for this class: An iPad with Procreate and Slide AR is required. Procreate and Slide AR are both apps available in the App Store at an additional cost. Procreate is $9.99 U.S. and Slide AR is $1.99 U.S. Neither app requires an account through that app in order to use them.

I have been teaching art for over 23 years in public and private school settings. I have taught as young a 1 1/2 years old and as old as high school seniors. I currently run a makerspace for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. I teach everything from drawing and painting to cartooning to digital art to sculpture/ceramics and even domino art. In addition to being a teacher I am aa graphic artist and have written and illustrated several children's books.
When I teach I stress creativity and love for my students to use their imaginations and be as creative as possible The more creative the better!
