Description
Class Experience
In this one-time class, young artists will create a crazy hair portrait while learning one of the most basic elements of art, line. We will learn types of lines through song, interactive discussion, and most importantly through creating art. I have 12+ years of experience fostering and advocating for creative environments and makerspaces. Across a broad spectrum of outlets I have displayed, taught, and shared my passion of blending teaching and creative arts together. I pursued my passion for the arts and education while working towards my B.A. in Fine Arts through my enrollment in additional coursework such as child psychology, pedagogical studies, and art education. My aim is to guide learners to develop their love and appreciation of the arts, while also taking care to inspire confidence and improve educational elasticity. I believe the best way to achieve this goal is through producing an inclusive and positive creative environment that harmonizes education and artistic expression.
Not to worry grown-ups! The materials list for this class is not extensive at all! Students will only need 3-4 sheets of plain paper, something to color with(markers, crayons, or color pencils), and a creative mind!
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
