In this one time class, students will participate in a read aloud of Robert Munschs' "Stephanie's Ponytail" in addition to making a crazy hair craft!

In this fun and engaging class for preschoolers, students will participate in a read aloud of Robert Munschs' "Stephanie's Ponytail" book. Throughout the read aloud students will be encouraged to engage with both the teacher and other students in learning to make a prediction and focusing on learning new vocabularly. In addition, students will create a crazy hair day craft, using the template provided. Students are encouraged to use their creativity during our craft and design their version of the crazy hair craft uniquely. Students will interact with the teacher and each others during both the read aloud and craft. Note: Some students may require assistance with the use of scissors. It is recommended to pre-cut some items for the child if the parent is unable to remain with them during the craft portion. Alternatively, students can simply use crayons or markers and the use of scissors will not be required.
Learning Goals
Students will practice many fine motor skills during our craft portion through cutting, pasting and a review of how to properly hold our crayons and markers. Additionally, students will learn vocabulary associated during our read aloud of Stephanie's Ponytail book. Upon completion of this class, students will be able to identify key vocabulary words as well as have reviewed the appropriate writing and language skills.

Parental Guidance
Please note the use of scissors is encouraged to be completed with the assistance of an adult or when in direct supervision of of one. If you are unable to remain by your learner throughout the class please ensure any materials requiring cutting are completed in advance of the class.
