This flex class will feature a different craft each week to teach students the basics of decoupage, air dry clay, fuzzy sticks, and beginner macrame. The class is presented by recorded video and is taught by Dr. Kathy with power point, pictures, and videos of crafts being made by crafter, Crazy Bindy, the doctor's sister. Students are also allowed to take the class without supplies in order to learn the processes of each craft, if desired. Students will be encouraged to contact the teacher...
This class is taught in English.
Students will be able to explain and show the basics of decoupage, air-dry clay, fuzzy sticks, and beginner macrame.
Homework will be to complete at least 3 ornaments of the type taught each week and to post them for all to see. Students will also collaborate on a project to invent a new type of craft ornament.
4 files available upon enrollmentSupplies Needed for Decoupage Ornaments: Wood circles with a hole cut out. Fun cloth- little pieces (6” square) Mod Podge or Decoupage glue One inch paint brush or smaller Sand block, sandpaper, or a very rough nail file Scissors sharp enough to cut material Marker, a small nail or pin, thin ribbon or embroidery thread Supplies Needed for Air Dry Clay Ornaments: 1. Air-dry clay 2. Cookie cutters or round glasses 3. Straw 4. Toothpicks 5. Beads, multiple sizes and colors 6. Oil: vegetable, coconut or whatever 7. Very thin spatula 8. Plastic Container with lid 9. Rolling pin or round glass jar 10. Bowl of water and paper towels Supplies Needed for Fuzzy Stick Ornaments: 1 package of glittery fuzzy sticks- get the 60 pack for more fun! One pair of scissors Colored beads of various sizes Supplies for the Angel Doll Ornament TWO colors of cotton rope (4mm here): for the dress- 60 inches and for the hair- 49 inches ONE wood ball with a hole (20 mm ball and 5 mm hole here) Scissors TWO glittery fuzzy sticks or colored pipe cleaners for hanger and belt- (gold here) Glue and a Sturdy comb
