Does your child love crafts? Would you like for them to make crafts that could improve fine motor and hand strength? Would you like to do the crafts on your own time schedule! If yes, this class is for you!! Crafts can be a fun way to help your child gain hand strength, improve fine motor skills, explore different sensory experiences, and improve bilateral coordination, without even realizing it!! This flexible schedule class will guide students through the steps of making fun and entertaining fall themed crafts! The supplies list is posted in the class description and will be posted in the classroom each week. Most of the supplies used will be common household items that many people may already have around the house. I will give step-by-step instructions through a video recording for each class. Once your student has finished the craft, they are encouraged to upload a picture or short video sharing their creative masterpiece! Each student in the class can look at others work and give positive remarks to encourage and lift one another up! I too will look at each student's completed work and give feedback. No prior experience is required to be apart of this class. Only thing needed is craft supplies, positive attitude, and creativity!
Learning Goals
Students will create unique fall themed crafts that target hand and finger strength, sensory exploration, and/or bilateral coordination.

I am trained as an Occupational Therapist. I have come across so many children that could use a little extra support, whether they qualify for services or not. That is why I put together this class and others like it. I hope this class will be helpful for ALL children and give extra ideas for things you can continue to do at home. I will be teaching students how to make crafts that generally target hand strength, fine motor skills, sensory, and bilateral coordination. Participation in this class can benefit all learners but should be taken with parent support and supervision as needed.
